Matt chose to pursue dance as a career not long after embarking on a journey as a competitive Ballroom Dancer from the age of 8. Matt was honoured with titles including Australian Junior Champion for Ballroom and Latin and World Representative for Australia for Junior World Latin.
Matt’s credits include; Primary Dancer on numerous Australian Tours with Nikki Webster, danced in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games Opening and Closing ceremonies, 22nd in the world for Youth World Ten Dance and Finalist on channel 2 Strictly Dancing all before the age of 16.
Matt then went on to study all aspects of the performing arts at Brent Street. Since then he has been a guest entertainer for Royal Caribbean cruise lines, Top 10 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance. Principal dancer on X Factor 2010, principal dancer in the motion picture Happy Feet 1 & 2, Dancer in Lady Gaga’s Sydney Monster Ball and Dancer in the world premier of The Illusionists at the Sydney Opera House which he then toured with the production around Australia and Singapore.
Matt danced for the NRL Grand Final along side Jessica Mauboy and Ricky Martin and also performed in the Australia’s Got Talent
Finale. He was an assistant dancer and choreographer to Juliette Verne for a piece in So You Think You Can Dance Australia. Matt has recently performed in the opening number for the Rob Guest Endowment held at The Capital Theatre in Sydney.
Matt performed in the World Premier of the Illusionists 2.0 Company in Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, before embarking on an extensive world tour.
