Bonnie Lythgoe is ‘so happy’, cheered as she left the jungle on I’m A Celeb
BONNIE Lythgoe cheered as she was voted out of the South African jungle.
The former dancer and choreographer tonight became the third latest star kicked off I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
“Yes, I knew it I’m packed,” Lythgoe told her campmates.
“I’m honestly so happy. I just knew, honestly.”
It’s the half way mark at three weeks with viewer voting relegating the final three to Lythgoe, Jo Beth Taylorand Havana Brown.
“This is the closest votes we’ve had in I’m A Celebrity history,” host Chris Brown said prior to the announcement.
Lythgoe’s departure leaves nine celebrities vying for the series title. Among them are Dean Geyer, Brendan Fevola and Laurina Fleure.
At 66, Lythgoe was the second eldest in the camp behind 72-year-old Val Lehman.
“I couldn’t believe I made it half way, it’s more than I ever thought I could do,” she said. “I believe that the right people are still there.”
Lythgoe, who is a British lady, is well known as a dancer and choreographer who was a judge on Australia’s So You Think You Can Dance and performed for the Queen.
Based between London, Sydney and La, she was married to Nigel Lythgoe, the pair divorcing a few years ago.
“I don’t think I regret one single thing,” she said. “I thought I would. It’s been an incredible experience. There isn’t anything I really would have missed, even the long drop (toilet) it just gave me an insight into so many things. I’m probably filthy dirty, I showered two or three times a day to keep clean but there’s so much more dirt to come off of me.”
Money raised from voting for Lythgoe goes to the Olivia Newton John Cancer and Wellness Centre.
As one final shot, Lythgoe was tasked with selecting three celebrities to take part in the next tucker trial Sticky Wiki. She chose Havana Brown, Laurina Fleure and Paul Harragon.
