While still well on her journey as an emerging artist and performer, Sophie has already achieved major milestones that are the envy of the industry.
After training from a young age under Bernadette Langshaw, Sophie hit the Australian scene as a commercial dancer and model, featuring on TV shows including So You Think You Can Dance Australia, The Wiggles and Dance Academy as well various television and print advertising campaigns.
From there Sophie landed a coveted role in the ensemble of performers in Baz Lurhmann’s film The Great Gatsby, as well as contributing her talents to the film Razzle Dazzle.
Chasing her ultimate dream, Sophie made her way to New York City in 2014 where she attended the annual “cattle call” auditions to join the prestigious Rockettes. Out of the thousands of girls attending, Sophie was invited to be an ongoing part of the troupe. This opportunity has opened many doors and Sophie has already appeared in numerous marketing campaigns with the Rockettes as well as performing with Michael Buble in his Christmas In New York special.
Sophie was honoured this year, with being selected as a support dancer to Cher at Sydney Mardi Gras. Sophie is excited to be returning once again with Bonnie Lythgoe Productions, and joining the cast of Sleeping Beauty, after a wonderful experience on 2017’s Cinderella.
