TERRY MORRISON

TERRY MORRISON is an established scriptwriter, having begun his career creating comedy sketches with the legendary comic duo Hale & Pace. This brought him to the attention of various TV producers and Terry was then engaged to write for several Light Entertainment shows on both BBC and ITV, including Noel’s House Party and Stars In Their Eyes. Outside of TV he has also written two major stage musicals Boogie Nights, a 70’s disco spectacular) and Happy Days based on the 1970’s TV series of that name.

But it is in pantomime that his name is probably best known.

He made his first foray into that world when he appeared at St Albans as Henchman to the Sheriff of Nottingham in Babes in the Wood. The following year he appeared alongside Rod Hull & Emu as the Sultan of Morocco in Dick Whittington at Southend.
From there he has gone on to write several versions of all the major pantomime titles, directed twenty-one, major UK shows and countless smaller touring productions.

Terry is a very experienced and trusted writer of family entertainment having also created live shows based on Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo for Warner Bros, Lazytown and Dora the Explorer for Nickelodeon. He has also written and produced shows for theme parks around the world, including Ferrari World Dubai and Legoland Malaysia.

Sleeping Beauty is Terry’s first collaboration with Bonnie Lythgoe and he hopes it is the start of a beautiful relationship!
